Joe Gersch, Ph.D.
President and Chief Executive Officer
Joe was named CEO in 2016. As CEO, he is responsible for the strategic direction of the company. He has been with Secure64 since 2004 and was named Chief Operating Officer in 2008; the title of Chief Technology Officer was added in 2014. As COO & CTO, Joe led the vision and development of mission critical DNS products. Prior to Secure64, Joe was a 24-year veteran of HP where he held technical and sales evangelist roles, and managed Research and Development and Marketing departments that delivered innovative products across a wide range of technologies. Joe earned a B.S. in Computer Science at the University of Michigan and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Colorado State University.
Dan Massey, Ph.D.
Dan is responsible for technology direction for Secure64. He has more than 25 years of research and management experience and has authored over 100 peer reviewed publications on networking and cyber security, including co-authorship of DNSSEC RFCs. He is also a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Colorado Boulder and, prior to joining Secure64, Dan was a Program Manager in the Cyber Security Division, Science and Technology Directorate, U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). At DHS, he developed and managed the Cyber Physical Systems (CPSSEC) program that focused on cyber security for automobiles, medical devices, building controls, and other systems that combine the cyber and physical worlds. He also developed and managed the Distributed Denial of Service Defense (DDoSD) that includes security solutions for both traditional IT environments and key telephony services such as 911 and NG911. Dr. Massey has served as the Principal Investigator on research funded by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the National Science Foundation (NSF), and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Some of his projects have included analysis of DNS data and DNS behaviors, an information centric approach to networking through Named Data Networking, internet BGP monitoring and analysis, and infrastructure security enhancements. He earned his doctorate in computer science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Vice President, Marketing and Product Management
Mark develops and executes product strategy and customer-facing marketing programs at Secure64. He has more than 23 years of experience in product marketing, business development and software engineering, Mark was previously Executive Vice President of Marketing for ChipData, a provider of electronic design automation software. At ChipData, he was instrumental in transforming the company from a service to a product company by launching a portfolio of award winning products that attracted over 20 Fortune 500 accounts within 12 months. He has served in technical, marketing and business development roles for a variety of software and online publishing companies. Mark holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.
Vice President, Engineering
Amanda directs and provides project management for the engineering team at Secure64 with over 26 years experience in software engineering and project management. Amanda holds an A.B. in Political Science, Computer Science and Math from Vassar College and an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Arizona, Tucson.
Vice President, Sales
Joanne manages the global sales organization at Secure64, where she is responsible for account management and strategic business partnerships. Joanne brings over 25 years of experience selling software to telecommunications and internet companies. Her previous roles include Director of Sales for Telcordia Communications, Evolving Systems and Cvidya. Joanne was also President of Worldwide Computer Solutions, an internet training company. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications with a Business minor from St. Catherine’s University.
