Mission-Critical Computing

DENVER, CO – December 14, 2011 – Secure64 Software Corporation has been named the winner of the 2011 Mission-Critical Innovations Award for Best New Application. Secure64 won the award for developing Secure64 DNS Cache, aDNS caching software appliance that provides the highest level of security, Denial of Service (DDoS) resistance and performance for communication and cloud service providers and ecommerce.

The Mission-Critical Innovation Awards, presented by HP and Intel, recognize leaders in IT for their groundbreaking work developing solutions for mission-critical computing. The program is a worldwide competition culminating in an exclusive awards celebration held just before HP DISCOVER in Vienna, Austria. The Best New Application award recognizes solutions being developed that best fulfill an industry need while effectively harnessing the capabilities inherent in Itanium-based systems. Winners in each category were selected by an independent panel of judges from leading nonprofit and professional organizations as well as research institutions, including CERN OpenLab, CESGA, COMPUTAEX, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Kiwok and Real World Technologies. The award was presented to Secure64 by HP and Intel at the HP DISCOVER in Vienna, Austria.
“This year, we received several exceptional nominations – demonstrating the caliber of work organizations are achieving with the combination of Intel Itanium-based HP solutions,” said Pauline Nist, General Manager, Mission Critical Computing, Intel. “These winners are the cream of the crop and we commend them for taking innovation to the next level.”

“I thank the awards committee for this honor on behalf of our entire organization,” said Steve Goodbarn, CEO of Secure64. “DNS infrastructure is mission critical for mobile applications, cloud security and the Internet. Attacks on the DNS, including Denial of Service attacks, have increased significantly over the past year. Without secure DNS to connect users to their providers, the world’s IT infrastructure is like a collection of medieval walled cities with highwaymen controlling the land between them. Secure64 DNS Cache is important because it tackles those vulnerabilities head on, serving as a critical piece of the puzzle for securing DNS and global Internet infrastructure.”
