SECURE64 SIGNS ALLIANCE WITH EUROPEAN DNSSEC EXPERTS

Sweden-based Kirei to Recommend and Implement Secure64 DNS and DNSSEC-related Products for International Clientele

DENVER, CO and GÖTEBORG, SWEDEN – November 18, 2008 – Secure64 Software Corporation announced today that it has completed an alliance with one of Europe’s most respected and influential experts in DNSSEC deployment, Swedish-based consulting firm Kirei (www.kirei.se). Kirei’s principals, Jakob Schlyter and Fredrik Ljunggren, are widely acknowledged as two of the world’s pre-eminent experts on successful DNSSEC deployments. Through this agreement, Kirei will recommend, deploy and configure Secure64’s line of DNS products – Secure64® DNS Signer, Secure64® DNS Authority and future products – as a primary component of Kirei’s DNSSEC implementations.
“We are thrilled that Schlyter and Ljunggren reached out to Secure64 because our products fill a critical need for trustworthy and secure DNS solutions,” said Steve Goodbarn, CEO and Director of Secure64. “Schlyter and Ljunggren have played a leading role in some of the biggest DNS security projects and DNSSEC deployments including the one for Sweden’s .se domain, and they know how complex, time-consuming and costly it can be for organizations to try to develop home-grown solutions to deploy DNSSEC. This agreement is a tremendous validation of our solutions and a great opportunity for Secure64 to begin expanding internationally.”

DNSSEC Critical for Securing Internet Infrastructure

“DNSSEC is critical for securing Internet infrastructure around the world, but the process of implementing it has been complex because of the lack of good commercial solutions, said Jakob Schlyter, Principal and Co-founder of Kirei. ”Secure64’s DNS security solutions dramatically simplify the process of deploying DNSSEC, and save a significant amount of time and resources for companies that are seeking to comply with DNSSEC. Having Secure64’s products as part of Kirei’s DNSSEC solution set benefits everyone.”

Secure64 DNS Signer

Secure64 DNS Signer is the first and only product that addresses each of the obstacles that have slowed the widespread deployment of DNSSEC zone signing, including the need for simplicity, security, auditability and scalability. Secure64 DNS Signer simplifies the complex process of signing DNS zones by automating all key generation, key rollover, and zone signing and resigning processes, and reduces risk by eliminating signing errors that make network resources unreachable. Secure64 DNS Signer also addresses the need to scale to extremely large, dynamic environments by providing both incremental and bulk zone signing with extremely high signing performance.

Secure64 DNS Authority

Secure64 DNS Authority is authoritative name server software that provides comprehensive protection against network threats such as malware and DoS attacks. Secure64 DNS Authority is proven to be completely immune to malware and can withstand denial-of-service attacks while still responding to legitimate queries – unlike other DNS applications that fail during network attacks. In addition, its high speed network I/O stack dramatically improves DNS query performance, allowing Secure64 DNS Authority to achieve over 100,000 queries per second, the highest performance of any authoritative name server.

About DNSSEC

Domain Name System Security Extensions (DNSSEC) provides authentication of the origin of DNS data, assurance of data integrity, and authenticated denial of existence – the three elements necessary to increase the security of the Internet’s DNS infrastructure. With DNSSEC Internet users know with certainty that their Internet-based communications such as web site visits and email correspondence actually connect to the parties they intend to reach. DNSSEC thwarts attacks such as pharming, cache poisoning and DNS redirection that have been used to commit fraud, distribute malware, or steal personal or confidential information. For more information about DNSSEC, visit www.dnssec-deployment.org.

SECURE64 WINS GOVERNMENT SECURITY AWARD

Secure64 DNS Signer Named Top Security Software Product at FOSE 2009

DENVER, CO – March 18, 2009Secure64 Software Corporation announced today that the company has won Government Computer News’ Best of FOSE Award for 2009 in the security software category. FOSE is the largest annual conference and expo in the Unites States focused on information technology for the federal government. The award recognizes “outstanding and innovative information technology products for government” according to Government Computer News magazine. The award was given to the Secure64 high performing and secure Domain Name Security Extensions (DNSSEC) signing application, Secure64 DNS Signer.

Secure64 DNS Signer has been positively received by the government market sector as evidenced by a grant from the Department of Homeland Security and a contract with the National Institute of Standards & Technology. Other prestigious customers are expected to be announced in the next few months.

“This award comes at a great time for Secure64 considering the momentum of DNSSEC within the federal government,” said Tom Chalk, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Secure64. “With the increased focus on cyber security, recognition from such an important luminary as Government Computer News should help raise awareness of the breadth and depth of protection offered by Secure64 DNS Signer.

Domain Name Security (DNS) acts as the phone book of the Internet by mapping names that people can remember – such as www.mybank.com – to numbers that computers can process – such as 192.168.0.1. But a flaw discovered last year in DNS architecture has rendered it insecure making it open to attack by hackers. By redirecting email or web site visits to servers they control, hackers can steal personal or financial information. DNSSEC adds a unique “signature” to each address in the DNS phone book. Before sending a response to an email or website visit, the signature is authenticated by the receiving server, making it impossible for attackers to redirect email or web site visits.

DNSSEC has not been widely deployed because adding and maintaining signatures is difficult and time consuming. Secure64 DNS Signer uses patent-pending technology to automate and simplify the DNSSEC process thereby making the Internet much more trustworthy and secure.

Due to its importance, the United States Office of Management and Budget (OMB) issued a DNSSEC mandate that all federal agencies must implement DNSSEC by December 2009.

SECURE64 EARNS IPV6 READY GOLD CERTIFICATION FOR ALL DNS AND DNSSEC PRODUCTS

Certification Critical for Products Purchase by U.S. Government Agencies and International Markets

DENVER, CO – May 19, 2009
– Secure64 Software Corporation today announced the company has received IPv6 Ready gold certification from the IPv6 Forum for its family of DNS and DNSSEC products.

IPv6 is the next-generation Internet Layer protocol for packet-switched internetworks and the Internet. Many international markets have already adopted IPv6. Within the U.S., the Office of Management and Budget issued a mandate requiring federal agencies to be IPv6-enabled on their network backbones by June 2008, and further recommending that agencies only procure new IT products that are IPv6 compliant. However, the government has been challenged by the lack of IPv6-enabled security devices and software applications available in the commercial marketplace.

“Secure64 has strived from the beginning to be the ‘gold standard’ in DNS software,” said Steve Goodbarn, CEO and Director of Secure64. “Achieving this latest certification provides our federal and international customers with even greater confidence that our DNS products are state of the art, while providing the highest level of security and performance available.”

History of Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6)

IPv6 is the next-generation Internet Layer protocol for packet-switched internetworks and the Internet. Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) designated IPv6 as the successor to version 4 by the publication of a Standards Track specification,RFC 2460, in December 1998.

The difference between IPv6 and IPv4 is the address space. IPv6 uses a 128-bit address, whereas IPv4 uses only 32 bits. This expansion provides flexibility in allocating addresses and routing traffic and eliminates the primary need for network address translation. IPv6’s 128-bit addresses can support a virtually unlimited number of devices and also can provide additional security and network management features to support mobile computing. IPv6 also implements new features that simplify aspects of address assignment (stateless address autoconfiguration) and network renumbering (prefix and router announcements) when changing Internet connectivity providers thus making Internet management and routing more efficient.

IPv6 was developed in order to address the shrinking number of remaining IPv4 addresses, which were predicted to run out in 2012. This would have prevented more devices from being IP-enabled and capable of connecting to the Internet. IPV6 offers an unlimited number of addresses and therefore supports continued growth of Web-based computing and mobile devices.

About the IPv6 Forum

The IPv6 Forum is a worldwide consortium that provides technical guidance for the deployment of IPv6. One of its key functions is providing certification of IPv6-ready products that conform to IPv6 specifications, support the protocol, and ensure interoperability with other IPv6 products and technologies. The certification and IPv6 Ready Logo program is managed by a global team of technical members of the IPv6 Forum, including equipment vendors, service providers, academic institutions, IPv6 organizations, members from the TAHI Project (Japan), the University of New Hampshire InterOperability (UNH-IOL)(USA), IRISA/INRIA (France), European Telecommunications standardization Institute ETSI (Europe), Telecommunication Technology Association TTA (Korea), Beijing Internet Institute BII (China), ChungHwa Telecom Labs CHT-TL (Taiwan) and Japan Approvals Institute for Telecommunications Equipment JATE (Japan).

“Having our products available through the GSA schedule is a key step in getting our products to government customers that are moving ahead with DNS security initiatives. CMA is a great partner for reaching the government market because of their expertise and their relationships with federal agencies. They have been great to work with,” said Tom Chalk, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Secure64.

Chalk added, “Secure64’s DNS products fill in missing pieces of the puzzle for government agencies seeking to comply with OMB mandates to implement DNSSEC. There are significant technical challenges to deploying DNSSEC, and trying to tackle them with open source tools is a recipe for delay, frustration, high costs, and possibly missing the upcoming deadlines. Solutions like our DNS Signer product are ready-to-deploy, simple to use and accelerate the timeframe for completing DNSSEC deployment projects.”

Secure64 DNS Products

Secure64’s suite of DNS products includes Secure64 DNS Signer, a software product that fully automates Domain Name System Security Extensions (DNSSEC) key generation, key rollover, zone signing and re-signing processes. It reduces deployment and administration costs while eliminating errors that can cause domains to become unavailable. The software also scales to extremely large, dynamic environments by safely keeping DNSSEC signing keys online while providing incremental zone signing and extremely high signing performance.

The company’s other DNS product, Secure64 DNS Authority, is an authoritative name server software product that’s available at all times – even during network attacks or restarts. It delivers the availability and security required in today’s networks, without the cost and complexity of conventional solutions.

SECURE64 AND MEN & MICE SIGN AGREEMENT TO PROVIDE INTEGRATED IP ADDRESS MANAGEMENT AND DNSSEC SIGNING SOLUTION

DENVER, CO and REYKJAVIK, ICELAND – August 4, 2009 – Secure64 Software Corporation and Men & Mice today announced a joint marketing agreement that will provide U.S. government and international customers with a completely integrated IPAM and Domain Name Security Extensions (DNSSEC) signing solution. Through this agreement, customers in the United States, Europe and other parts of the world will be able to utilize Secure64 and Men & Mice solutions to quickly and easily implement IP Address Management (IPAM) with automated support for DNSSEC signing.

Men & Mice will support Secure64’s FOSE-award winning DNS signing software appliance, Secure64 DNS Signer. Secure64 is the only company currently offering a deployed DNSSEC software appliance that fully automates DNSSEC key generation, key rollover, zone signing and re-signing processes.

DNS security is a critical IT issue, and an OMB mandate requires that all U.S. federal government agencies deploy DNSSEC by December 2009. DNSSEC addresses vulnerabilities in DNS, a core Internet infrastructure, making it an open target for cyber threats. The recent July 4th cyber attacks demonstrate the continuing vulnerability of the U.S. government’s technology infrastructure.

“We are really excited about the opportunity that this partnership represents,” remarked Men & Mice CEO Jon Kristjansson. “It is a rare occasion that two innovative companies have such a complimentary product offering. The combination of the Men & Mice Suite and the Secure64 DNSSEC automation tools will enable far better Internet security, and make implementation of DNSSEC less of a challenge for organizations worldwide.”

Secure64’s DNS Signer product will be supported by The Men & Mice Suite – a management software solution built to meet the challenges of DNS, DHCP and IP address management in large computer networks. It provides a sophisticated management layer for the existing DNS and DHCP infrastructure integrated with advanced IP address management capabilities.

“Men & Mice has been in business since 1990 and have a best-in-breed IPAM solution used by customers across the globe,” said Steve Goodbarn, CEO and Director of Secure64. “As a recognized authority on DNS and DHCP with a worldwide customer base, Men and Mice meets customer needs for world-class management solutions while allowing Secure64 to maintain our focus on delivering trustworthy and secure DNS and DNSSEC products.”
